Negar Kazemipourleilabadi is a cultural heritage preservationist with an MA in Preservation of Cultural Heritage from Istanbul Kadir Has University and a BA in Conservation of Cultural Properties from the University of Islamic Art Tabriz. She has extensive experience conserving historical artifacts, including manuscripts, murals, textiles, and paintings, specializing in paper conservation within libraries and museums. Additionally, she has expertise in Ottoman Turkish translations of archival documents. Her work has contributed to preserving diverse cultural heritage sites and artifacts. As a multilingual, she is fluent in Turkish, Persian, and Azeri, with an advanced English proficiency and excellent reading skills in Ottoman Turkish.
Yih-chuen Liao is a Ph.D. student in Art History at the National Taiwan University, specializing in Sino-Islamicate exchanges by land and sea. She received her M.A. from New York University and read Islamic Art at Columbia University. She worked at the Brooklyn Museum and the Asia Society Museum, researched at the National Museum, New Delhi, and collaborated with cultural institutions in Xi’an on an exhibition depicting Tang cosmopolitanism at the National Museum of History in Taipei. She also holds LL.M.s from Columbia Law School and LMU Munich and previously worked in global affairs. For GLOBAL DECO PAPER she will be researching and analyzing the related East Asian materials.
