Chester Beatty Library

At the end of March, we went back to the Chester Beatty Library in Dublin, where we were now able to examine manuscripts and folios that had previously been on display, as well as some other exciting manuscripts. We would like to thank Dr Moya Carey and her amazing team for supplying us with more fascinating manuscripts.

Among other things, Ilse worked on a Safina manuscript with stencils, while Theresa analysed the so-called Panj Ganj by Jami with unusual designs in the outer frames for a later presentation. We also saw some Ottoman Turkish albums, and we are looking forward to our soon-to-be-joining Ottoman specialist going through these exquisite materials.

We discovered many interesting new details and cannot wait to share them with you!
